John Smith Dilemma

I feel that by John giving the dealer the names of people who are going to buy cars is unethical and wrong. John has a responsibility to keep those names private. Even though he needs the money he cannot take unethical means to obtain this money. His employees would rather have their jobs than a lawsuit that could cripple the business and potentially put them more in debt. He has a responsibility to be honest. John needs to embrace ethical values that are honesty, responsibility, fairness,, respect, transparency and citizenship.
